Registration for the Spring 2022 track season has started.

In order to have a successful track season. we MUST have parent volunteers to help with each event. Don’t know how to coach track events? Don’t worry. No track experience is needed. Roncalli’s track coach and team members will conduct a Train the Trainers session in the near future. We will also provide you with online videos. We will make sure you learn what you need to know to help the kids have a great season.

If we don’t have parent volunteers to help coach an event, athletes will not be able to participate in that event. We NEED parent volunteers to have a fun, successful track season.

Event coach responsibilities include:

  • running your station/event at practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • communicating with Coach Hatt regarding your athletes and making sure they get registered for events
  • making sure your athletes get to their station at the meet

Two equipment volunteers are also needed: one for boys and one for girls. Their responsibilities include picking up equipment from SJS before the meet or dropping it off at SJS after the meet, depending upon their child’s meet time.

To accommodate parent work schedules and the need to have volunteer coaches, practices will take place on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Until it warms up, practice will take place at St. James. Once it does, practice will take place at Creighton Prep. Optional Sunday practice will be from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at Roncalli.

The registration fee is $60 and we will be requiring a uniform deposit of $60 and a parent volunteer deposit of $60. Deposit checks will be shredded upon the acceptable return of the uniform and completion of parent volunteer hours.
